The Church Is Trolling Us
April 2, 2010 by Brandon 2 Comments
Blame it all on Satan. That’s what the Catholic church is apparently doing. After the media’s frenzy of attacks on the Vatican and the pope, a “noted” exorcist in Italy came out and said that all of this is the devil’s doing; specifically, the Prince of Darkness is apparently using the New York Times as his mouth piece to comdemn the church’s pedophilia.
Wait, what? Is this idoit serious? No, he can’t be. This guy has to be a troll. I mean, what priest would honestly state that the condemnation of pedophilia and those who cover up pedophilia is evil?
Apparently this guy also thinks that stating that priests are just men and can get tempted by the devil to diddle the kiddles makes everything ok. No, it doesn’t. Here’s some advice, Church. You lost this one. Face it. Ratsinger? Step down. You’re already a disgrace and if you really care about protecting your Church’s image, that’s what you’ll do. Give all information regarding the pedo-priests you’ve protected over to the appropriate authorities for investigation. Then, and only then, will you actually gain some kind of redemption in the public’s eye.

What is Fractal Wrongness?
The state of being wrong at every conceivable scale of resolution. That is, from a distance, a fractally wrong person's worldview is incorrect; and furthermore, if you zoom in on any small part of that person's worldview, that part is just as wrong as the whole worldview.

“Then, and only then, will you actually gain some kind of redemption in the public’s eye.”
Actually, why would the church care about the general public opinion, except perhaps how it affects their own flock?
Their primary concern is fleecing the sheep by keeping those collection plates going.
The church needs to care about their public perception, because without a good image, they’re doomed. Their own flock is leaving in droves already, and if the public at large looks unfavorably Catholics, you can expect a lot more to leave.
It is conducive for the church to have the support of the public, because it helps them retain and even gain the sheep for them to fleece.
