I’ve Found Religion

November 15, 2009 by Brandon 8 Comments

That’s right. I’ve come to the conclusion that a higher power does exist through careful observation of the natural world around me. It’s become clear that there must have been a first cause for all of this, and I know who that first cause is now…

Ceiling Cat.

And so, I’ve decided to purchase a domain, www.churchofceilingcat.org, in order to spread the gud lolz of Ceiling Cat. Currently the domain is propagating, but be sure to check back shortly to see what the heck I decide to do with the site.

    I have no idea who or what Ceiling Cat is… but it certainly sounds like something I could worship. Hell, I spit up a holy hair ball just this morning.

    May I suggest in lieu of a confessional you have a Litter Box;
    Meow Mix communion wafers; and burn Cat nip instead of incense.

    We have a new convert! May Ceiling Cat be praised!

    Anyway, Ceiling Cat is an internet meme that was spawned by 4Chan, as most internet memes are. It’s a lolcat picture (seen on my main page) of a cat peeking his head through a square hole cut into the ceiling.

    The original meme had “Ceiling Cat is watching you masturbate.” Eventually a ’shopped image of Ceiling Cat in the sky came out with the phrase, “Where is your God now?” on it.

    Since then, an entire mythology of Ceiling Cat has been created, including a Basement Cat. Longcat, who is long, is the avatar of Ceiling Cat on Earth, and Tacgnol, the Anti-Longcat, will bring about Catnarok.

What is Fractal Wrongness?

The state of being wrong at every conceivable scale of resolution. That is, from a distance, a fractally wrong person's worldview is incorrect; and furthermore, if you zoom in on any small part of that person's worldview, that part is just as wrong as the whole worldview.
